Chad the Superdad

Thursday, October 11th, 2007

Chad has been doing a great job being a superdad this past week. He gets Janie ready for school in the morning, gives her breakfast and makes me coffee. He drives us to work and walks Janie to her classroom. Goes to work all day, then comes home to daily house chores including dinner, dishes, and cleaning. Then he works on the internet for a few hours while Janie is playing in his office. Then he gets Janie ready for bed. Finally for the last hour or two of the night Chad and I rest and watch a movie together. I still try to help him whenever I can, but by the time I come home from work, my foot hurts from moving it around so I basically rest it.
So thank you Honey Bear I love you!!!

Carrie’s Busted Foot

Friday, October 5th, 2007

So Carrie went and done it. A freak accident, and her foot got all messed up. So we had to pull out of the game with 20 minutes left. We still won, 9-4. Which was better then the last game where we got slaughtered 16-8

Hovering over the xray, you will see the small circle is a bone fracture that is suspected to come from where the arrow is pointing. The large circle shows where the joints have been pushed together and overlap. We’ll see a orthopedic doc on Monday, who will numb the foot up and try to work the bones back to where they belong.

My Soccer Game

Monday, October 1st, 2007

I signed up for an indoor soccer team with some people at work, so here are some pictures we took before my game on Saturday. Chad and our friend Ryan are joining the team also, which is great because we need the extra players. Its fun playing soccer again but it’s a hard workout! I need to start running so I have more energy on the field!

CDA Is Fastest Growing Community

Monday, October 1st, 2007

This is the second time this town has been in USA Today. This time it’s the cover story.

Thursday’s cover story on the front page of USA Today blazed with a photo of the Coeur d’Alene Resort and this headline: “Which state has the fastest-growing economy? It’s Idaho, thriving quietly.”

“With all due respect to Phoenix, Las Vegas and Orlando, the heart of America’s biggest economic boom is right here in Idaho,” opens the Boise-datelined story by Dennis Cauchon.

It was more than the talk of town throughout the region, where the paper was sold out in most locations by mid-morning. According to USA Today, it was also the most emailed story of the day.

National spotlights shining on Idaho are basically great things. But residents can also feel some heat from those bright lights.

The good news is that exposure like USA Today’s story can have a powerful, positive effect, encouraging desirable businesses to relocate here and bolstering the investment that has spurred growth for the past 20 years. As the story points out, we have showed the strongest economic growth in the nation since 2003 and now boast the lowest unemployment rate (2.4 percent). Read More ยป
