Update From The Coleman Girls

Mom just sent this letter out to a few of us. It’ll give you an update to things.

Hello Everyone!

How are you all doing? I decided to send this to all of you to let you know how we are doing and in hopes that perhaps one of you would write me back!

I see that Hayden cooled down a bit the last couple of days, so you are all enjoying the 80 degree weather, I hope. The summer is passing quickly so I’m hoping you are all getting plenty of lake time. Heath, I don’t know how your weather is but I am still praying that you make good friends (hopefully Christian ones, because you NEED Christian fellowship)

We are moved in now to a new flat and we are so much more happy with it. The exterminator was worth every penny, because we now have no cockroaches (two inch ones), ants, spiders, etc in our house. We had planned to leave for another island today, but there’s a flu epidemic here and everyone has been sick except for the girls and I, and Simeli has a very important event this Saturday, the 11th. Fiji is having Impact World Tour, a nationwide evangelistic event in September and Simeli is in charge of recruiting and training approx 500 counselors for the event. So YWAM (Youth With a Mission) will have a 4 hour training workshop on the 11th and Stephanie and Leslie will participate, along with other young people in Nanny’s church here. After that, we will go to another island and hold 2 different 3-day VBS’s.

We’ve had a couple of weeks to get moved in, visit the beach and plan to go to Beachcomber Island on a day trip this week. It’s a very small island where we will have a buffet, snorkel, swim, and watch Fijian dancers put on a show. We haven’t had a lot of time for tourist kind of things so far, so we’re looking forward to it.
