So we went up to the Little North Fork River to get our camp on!
On our way there, we passed this crashed jeep.
I stopped to check on it, and the inside lights were still on. Thankfully there was nobody there, and no sign of injury. It must have happened the night before. I’m guessing it was either them hittin the bottle, or they swerved to miss a deer or a unicorn. Cos it was pretty strange how they managed to do what they did.
So yesterday, the Freemans had come back from the woods for Janie’s birthday party. And Jonas was telling me that on his way out, he stopped to talk to a guy parked on a forest road. The guy started telling Jonas how he had just watched a cow moose give birth to 2 calves, in the middle of the road, and that Jonas had just missed it!
Well, we were lucky enough to run into the mama moose and her calves. She didn’t seem to bothered with us sittin right next to her while she fed her youngin’s.
We even took some film!
We crossed over Deception Creek on the way there. Its beautiful this time of year, as everything is so green.
Jonas and I chopping some firewood for the night.
We were there with Jonas Tanya, and Isiah, Jeremiah and Alex, and their 2 kids, and Jared and Abby, friends of Jeremiah and Alex. It was nice the first day we were out there. But we woke up to non-stop raining. So that put a damper on things. We packed up and headed out around 11am, only to see the moose on the way out again!

I went to the beach and got sunburned. I’d have rather hung out with mooses.
