Chad writes,

We started on the main project tonight. Flooring and ceiling scraping in the main living area.

Jarrid and Brandon came over after I had pulled all the trim off around the kitchen and dining room. So we pulled up the linoleum, which was the worst part. There were actually two layers. One from back in good ol’ 1988. Such a great year for linoleum lovers. Well… not really. Gripping the stuff and gradually pulling it up, put awesome blood blisters on every nuckle. So I’m bandaged up pretty good.

After tearing all the floor down to the wood, we brought the hose in and soaked the acoustic ceiling. Then we took to it with the putty knife and the stuff came off like cake. We only had that one scraper, so Jarrid found his california plate inside his truck, and that worked pretty well.

So the living area is currently turned upside down, with the fridge and dining table in the living room. But we’re making progess, taking pictures, and goin back at it tomorrow!
