Happy Birthday Daniel, dont party too hard before we fly in tomorrow. And I know what you are thinking…. having all three of your sisters back in town is the best birthday present you could ask for!

Today we are headed to Hayden Lake for a nice cool dip in the water, then we are going to come back to our place to BBQ some hamburgers. We are going to enjoy the nice hot weather we have on Chad’s Birthday!

This is my new bird dog. He’s a 8 week old German Shorthair Pointer. My partner Jonas and I went out to deliver a spa to a guy out in the backwoods of Rathdrum. When we got there we spotted his kennel full of these purebred young pups. And we both wanted one. The females were selling for $500, and the males for $300. That was beyond our pocketbook. We both told the guy that if he coulden’t sell any, then call the billiard shop. To my excitement he called a week later. He talked to my dad and told him that I could take a male home.

So when I found out, I knew that Jonas had wanted a dog just as bad. And there was no reason why I should get the dog, and he shoulden’t. So I went back and told him that we get a puppy… but we get to flip a coin for him. I flipped, he called heads and won. So he was excited, and hurried to call his landlord. His landlord would have probably let him keep the dog, if it wasn’t a puppy. But he wanted a insane downpayment, cos puppies chew and poo. So he coulden’t afford it, and I humbly accepted the dog! We drove out to the guys ranch to pick up the puppy and his papers.

I’m learning up on the best tips and tricks to raising these guys correctly from the start. With a big thanks to Gun Dog Magazine. I need to subscribe to them. I’m chatting with a breeder and gundog trainer who specializes in GSP’s, about the training Pistol will need to be a good hunting partner. I need to wait a couple weeks, so that he’s a bit older, and the guy is gonna judge Pistols natural ability.

Happy Birthday to Miriam and Happy Anniversary to my Dad and Mom! I am not really sure what we have planned up here for Miriam’s Birthday, but I know we will have good time. Also I hope my mom and dad have fun at Chillis tonight for their hot Anniversary date! I miss you guys!

Happy Belated Birthday Heath!!!

His Birthday was on June 10th, sadly he spent his Birthday on the plane. The family did celebrate his Birthday while he was here by going to see Over the Hedge at the theaters, and after meeting up for some delicious ice cream sundaes.

My dear cousin Jamie graduated from Calvin Christian High School today. That sounds so weird, because I still think of her as a little middle school girl! Chad and I wish we could have made it to the ceremony and the celebration dinner at Fillippis, but sadly we are way up in Idaho. Also, have a fabulous time at your pool party tomorrow, and think of us when you are drinking wine in the spa!

Jonas’ Birthday

My baby Janie is making motherhood so easy. She has been sleeping great through the night. Just last night, I put her down at 12:00 and next thing I know, I look at the clock and its 6:00 and she was still sleeping! I wonder how long she would have slept, if I didnt wake her up. But I wanted to feed her so woke her up. Then after that, she slept for another 4 hours. Giving mommy and daddy a great night sleep.

But overall she has been a wonderful blessing to Chad and I. She has been hanging out with the whole family at BBQs, lake trips, dinner outings, and more. And being a perfect angel the whole time. She does have a little jaundice in her still, but the doctor said it will only get better. Plus she has her daddy’s olive skin, so it makes it look more yellow. Her hair is starting to lighten up some with light brown streaks.

Jacob and Travis love their baby cousin! Jacob loves to twiddle her hair and cover her up with blankies so she doesn’t get cold. And Travis thinks its greatest thing to poke her and touch her hands. But if Travis is getting too rough, Jacob will quickly push him away, protecting Baby Janie.
