Chad and I have been going to a young married Bible study every Wednesday night, and as a group we have to complete some projects. So for our Community Project, the girls and guys split up today and the girls went over to the Dollar Tree, and we bought some Get Well balloons and we bought some lolli pops to use as weights to tie to the balloons. Well we took those balloons over to the Hospital and passed them out to all the sick children. It was so neat to see all the expressions of the little kids when we handed them balloons. One little boy said, “Do you do this for all the Kids? Cos thats very nice of you” It was such a cool experience for all us girls. One little girl was only 1 1/2, so she was playing with her balloon in her crib. Soo cute. After the children room, we still had some balloons, so we took them over to the General Surgery Room and passed them out there. Some of the patients didn’t have any vistors or balloons, so they were happy to see us and to receive a balloon.
As we were at the hospital the boys went around a neighborhood introducing themselves as being with a church and volunteered to rake the piles of leaves off their yard. But most of the people denied their offer either cos they had children to rake, or they wanted to do it themselves. But they did manage to rake the yard of a widow at the church, and she appreciated it very much.

That really sounds like fun! I bet their little faces lighting up was more than enough reward for your work. And it’s great that y’all are going to a Bible study together! They’re so great!
