Memorial Day Weekend

Sunday, May 29th, 2005

We’re planning on spending the holiday at round lake tomarrow. It’s a real small little campground and recreation area, with a nice beach and a little fishing dock. I’m gonna take out gramps boat to use for some fishin. So that should be fun for us. We’ll get some pics and post em.

Update ยป Well shoot. I just finished reading that link to round lakes website. And they say no gas motors. So cancel the part about gramps boat.

I Missed It

Thursday, May 26th, 2005

I didnt get to watch the season finale of American Idol last night because I had to work. Darn it. But I did hear that Country Girl Carrie won. It didnt matter to me who won, because they were both great singers, who will receive contracts.

This was the first year that I actually watched American Idol continuously. Maybe because all the contestants were actually worth watchin. So every Tuesday and Wednesday night, my whole family would sit together and watch American Idol. Heath even watched an episode with the family when he was there. And I know he loved it!
But it was a good show that made good family-TV- nights, which I do miss.

It’s Off To Work I Go

Monday, May 23rd, 2005

Well I’m back to working for Bed Bath and Beyond. I went in today to get an application, scheduled an interview, and they hired me. I start tomorrow. The main reason being, I worked for Bed Bath and Beyond for a year back at home, so I have all the experience needed. Also they are giving me the same amount of money I was making down in CA. So thats a huge plus.

Im excited to get this job, cos I was getting alittle worried I wasnt gonna find a job. Im just sad I had to break away from being a preschool teacher cos I enjoy it so much. Cos I came home from work in such better moods when I worked with children. So I am hoping this will only be a temperary job until I find a nice center to work for.

Thank You Miriam!

Sunday, May 22nd, 2005

Chad’s mother, Miriam, took us to Pier One Import and leant us some money so we could buy couch until we can pay her back. So I thank her for that. Cos now our house is finally starting to look more and more complete. Its a real nice couch too, a natural tan color and really comfortable. Chad and I are real happy with it.

I need to get Chad to take some pictures of the house, its starting to look really cute. I have been having a blast decorating the place. I’m a happy girl in my house. Poor but happy. But hey, most newlyweds start out this way, so its all good.

Happy Birthday Jared!

Friday, May 20th, 2005

Today is Chad’s brother, Jared’s Birthday. Yay! So we are all gonna go see the new Star Wars Movie, then head on over to Olive Garden for some dinner.

The Professional Photos

Tuesday, May 17th, 2005

Gloria called to let us know that they received the CD with the professional photos from Kreag, the other day. So we’re excited. She sent us a few through email, as a sneak peak, while the CD is still in the mail.

You can see the few that we have. Expect more to appear in the future.

Still Searching….

Tuesday, May 17th, 2005

Well I started to look for a Preschool Teacher job yesterday. No luck for me. There are only two places so far that I would consider working for. One is not hiring at the moment, and the other one has a position open with an age group that I am not interested in.

Plus I was talking to one of the directors of the center, and they told me that Idaho is ranked number 49th in dealing with preschool centers. So great, Idaho bascially has the worst preschools in the nation. And the pay isnt good either up here for teachers. That really bums me out cos I really enjoy working with children and I loved my job back in California, so I am praying that I will find a center out here that has somewhat of the same curriculum going on or at least lets me prepare my own lesson plans.

Keepin Busy

Saturday, May 14th, 2005

Chad and I are still trying to surrive without internet and cable tv at the house. The cable guy cant make it to our house til next thursday, so until then we have to go to Chad’s parent’s house or the shop to use the computer. But I did bring a cd player from my old house that we have been listening too, so its not too quiet.

Chad has been working everyday, even today on Saturday, which is a good thing cos we need the money. Im just just trying to keep myself busy with things around the house. Im going to go look for a job next week, I just need to finish updating my resume. Hopefully I can find a center as good as the one I worked for in Oceanside. And everybody knows how much fun trying to find a good job is….tons of fun.

Our New Home

Thursday, May 12th, 2005

Well, we almost have everything unpacked and in the cabnets and on the walls. I’m having so much fun decorating my own house, cos I have been collecting cute house decorations for the past few years when I travel to Europe. So it’s nice to finally put them to use! Especially my Cookoo clock and Swedish horses.

I made my very first meal last night as a married woman. I decided to go with my personal favorite; spaghetti, salad, corn, fresh bread, and topped it off with a nice glass of wine. Chad’s two friends Brandon and Nick were also there to enjoy dinner with us.

We have been super busy, but hopefully Chad will put some pictures of the house and the wedding sometime soon here.

Happy Birthday Jarrid!

I heard my family is all going to the Claim Jumper tonight to eat some delicious food for the party, so you guys have fun, and I wish me and Chad could be there.

Packed and Ready to Roll

Sunday, May 8th, 2005

Movin North

Well, we’ve just about finished packin up all of Carrie’s belongin’s and wedding gifts. Sadly, Uhaul won’t rent a trailer to Ford Explorer’s because of a class action lawsuit currently goin on. So we are barrowin Rick’s boat, and loadin it full of stuff. This is good for me, cos now I can take it out to do some fishin on Hayden Lake. w00t!

This afternoon we begin the trip back home to Idaho. Towin’ the boat will slow us down some, so I’m guessing this trip will take us over 24 hours. Maybe longer, if we have to get a hotel. I gotta see how I do, tryin to drive through the night. Rick bought me this fancy travel mug though. It plugs in to the cig lighter, and keeps the coffee hot. Thanks Rick!

Pray for us on the road tonight! I can’t wait to see our welcome home sign!

Welcome Home

The Last Party

Sunday, May 8th, 2005

Last night we had a family party with the Osborns, the Whitehouses, and the Matuszaks. It was a Happy Birthday Anna and new baby Travis, and a farewell to Carrie and I.

We went to see Anna and Daniels new condo in Bonsall, on return we ate pizza, and watched the video of the wedding ceremony and reception. Then came Carrie’s favorite part. The part she has been anticipating since last saturday. The opening of the wedding gifts.

We have been so blessed by everyone of you who has made our start in marriage such a good one. We would like to thank you all so much for the great gifts. Carrie is as happy as I’ve seen her. Although I didn’t get any guns n’ ammo, someone gave us a huge wooden paddle. And that might come in handy. wink I’ll try and russle up some pictures from CC, so I can post em on here.

Thanks again to everyone. We love you all very much.

Howdy From FL

Friday, May 6th, 2005

We just sailed in last night, and we’re due to fly back to californication soon. I’m on the hotel computer now. This blasted thing is a bit out of date, but at least it connects to ‘teh interweb’.

The bahamas was a blast. And I’ll never go back. Beer averaged 5 greenbacks each. And that was torture. The only thing I could afford was the local bahama beer called Kalik. And that was ten bucks for a six pack. Killin’ me.

Chad and Carrie on the Beach

I’ll post a few more pics when I get back home, and get the time. But it was a great honeymoon overall.

Another thing. This computer has IE 6.0.2 browser. And I noticed it shoves the sidebar down to the bottom of the page. I guess I’ll have to fix that when I get back. Internet Explorer is the devil, and all smart people use firefox.
