WordPress Competition

Sunday, March 20th, 2005

I had something good to post about the other day… but I forgot.

So I’ll post about the wordpress competition. This is computer geek stuff, so you can move along if you ain’t interested.

What is wordpress? It’s the backend program that powers this site. Needless to say, I am a huge fan of it, and I use it everywhere.

What is the competition? Alex King (who played a part in the creation of WP is hosting a competition on who can design the best looking theme for wordpress. Well, more goes into it, than just theme. Souce code is playing a big part too, and how well you write it. (I’m actually kinda sloppy, but you don’t know that )

So I submitted my Stucco Theme, which you can see in that list somewhere. So… may the best man win!

Update »

I just fine tuned my Narnia theme. So that is being submitted as well. w00t!

Another Update »

Can you believe this guy? He pretty much took my narnia theme, changed some photos, and font style, and re-submitted it to the competition!

Copper Learns A Lesson

Saturday, March 12th, 2005

So I get a call from my sister while I’m at the shop here. A gunshot went off at the neighbors, and sent Copper flyin to the house all shook up. He’s a big sissy when it comes to guns. Anyways, when he arrives, he has a nose full of quills. Ouch. But I think the neighbor blasted the culprit.

So I grab some needle nose pliers and the camera. This outta be fun.

Heath Makes The Army Times

Saturday, March 5th, 2005

For those who don’t already know, Heath’s site made it on the Army Times Article, Blogs Of War. Heath probably doesn’t realize it, but this is pretty impresive.

American Soldier, who’s site I did, is also on the list. They are both great writers, and excellent reads.

Jared Gets A Website

Tuesday, March 1st, 2005

Well, Jared just jumped on the bandwagon of the blogging Coleman family. We got him, jpcoleman.com last night, and I whipped him up a quick site. It’s still in the works, as I write this. But you can check back every now and again.

This Family blogging reminds me of that one article on SatireWire, ‘You never visit your mothers website‘.
